Time for another quick update about the GoC UT Squad!

Silver!
We've taken the silver medal in the 2nd division of the Clanbase OC iCTF (nonzp) Cup! After beating UTCG in the semi-final, which was a tense 5-mapper, we faced T!T in the final. A bit unfortunate we lost in the final after three very close maps (1-0, 2-2, 3-2).



GoC's next ares
Also, we're trying to find a replacement for ares, who's still missing. We're looking for a mid-20 year old guy from the UK with good adminning skills and an helpfull attitude. Being able to write good one-liners above a warreport is appreciated. You'll have to be an introvert person, who randomly says random things like "EGG".

Another update about GoC, this time about the UT squad!

Jolt League div2 Winner!!



After winning division 4 in season 3 of the jolt league in 2002, GoC finally managed to win again! After 5 years it was time for GoC to win division 2 of the jolt league, season 9 already! Unfortunatelly this season was a bit terrorized with forfeiting clans, but the games we did play we won with great teamplay vs. better fragging clans.

GoC vs CTF- disposable x2 - Both games won with 3-2.
GoC vs NH - ranel x2 - First game won with 3-1, lost second with 0-2.
GoC vs rod - gauntlet x2- Lost first game with 0-2, but won second with 6-2
GoC vs lamb - chav x2 - Won both games, first with 13-2 and second with 5-1

Previous CB Cup Season - Won UT Soccer Cup div2!
As mentioned in the previous newspost by Syphon, we participated in the ZP Cap Cup and the 2on2 soccer cup. After getting silver before in div2 of the soccer cup, we managed to win div2 this time!



We managed to enter the play-offs of the ZP fast cap cup after ending up third in the group. We lost in a close game vs cN tho, and this is where this cup ended for GoC.

This CB Cup Season - #1 in iCTF OpenCup group!
We're participating in the 2on2 soccer cup once again and the OC iCTF cup. We were put in div1 of the soccer cup after our good results before, but this division was clearly too good for us. We haven't managed to win one game.

It's going far better in the OC iCTF Cup: We ended up on the #1 spot in our group in division 2! We won vs cN on spirit and broken with 3-2 and 8-4. In our second game we beated rWa on sprinta with 3-1 and on command with 6-4. We lost our last game vs DoG, after a decider map with overtime! We won ranel with 3-0, lost dreary with 2-4 and lost the decider map spirit with 2-3 We're still #1 in the group tho, let's hope we win this cup!

GoC in the CB ladders
Unfortunatelly, the iCTF (nonzp) ladder is a bit dead lately. We're still doing good there tho lately, only losing 2 out of our last 10 matches. We entered the iCTF zp ladder and after losing a lot at the beginning, we're starting to win more lately. Same story for the 2on2 soccer ladder, after dominating the last spot in the ladder, we're even on #4 now!

How did GoC UT become so good?
Maybe it has something to do with all our recent friendly wars We also recruted two nice & skilled players, namely Valheru and Ganesh! I hope they enjoy their stay.

Ok time for another update on GoC!

GoC UT99 Squad
The GoC Unreal Tournament squad has competed in the past iDOM cup and didnt do all that bad for their first time in the iDOM cup ever. Winning two and also losing two matches left the predictions about GoC becoming last in the group in the dust. A nice 3rd place in the group meant the end in this cup though, as only the first 2 went through.

The UT squad is now competing in both the zp Cap Cup and the UT Soccer 2v2 cup. Let's hope they do well!

GoC UT2004 Squad
After being outlamed in the Spring 2007 iCTF Open Cup play-offs, the UT2004 squad continued playing in the 3v3 MOSO cup, where theres still everything to play for after 1 win & 1 loss.

GoC also took over D2F's spot in the iMix cup, as the D2F merely consisted of GoC active players this was the best solution. This arrangement brought Kaboom to GoC, who will be playing iCTF for us as well, welcome m8!
The first iMix cupwar was won after a very tough battle with SoB².

The UT2k4 squad also picked up playing ladder games again, which resulted in a 3 winning spree, getting us to our record-high on the 5v5 EU ladder: #2 spot!
To see if we can compete with the absolute top of the ladder we challenged the #1 on the ladder, ĞiOğ.



GoC CS:S Squad
GoC CS:S squad? Yes, the infamous Pingu is back to start up the GoC CS:S squad yet again! Recruitment is slowly started by the same Pingu and will continue till a solid squad is formed to play wars with. Good luck Pingu!

The new cup season started at clanbase and the two squads from GoC are participating!

GoC ut99 squad
GoC is in the 3rd division of the ut99 iDOM cup. It's the first time we're playing an iDOM cup and also the first time we play with the zeroping mutator. According to the predictions, our team would end up at the bottom of the group.

First game was against TH and against all odds we beated em 4-0! Old school hero's Def1ant, Cardiff, Bulldog, Syphon and kE played this cupgame.

GoC 2k4 squad
Lot's of new faces in the 2k4 squad and even three of em played in the first cupwar of this season for GoC Purger, bZm and Azreal (who played for ntl: in ut99 back in the days!) were part of the line-up which was completed with VonDutch, Mav and Stat. They played }x{ and they also won 4-0! GoC won 3-0 on DeepSprinta and 7-3 on SwitchBack.

Predictions by our very own Purger forecast that GoC will reach the play-offs, let's hope he's right!
